Friends, Hope this note finds you well and loving the warm weather (finally). I wanted to send you a quick update on what's been going on in my life and with my artwork over the past month or so.
As you know, my two latest installations (The Assassination of Hillary Clinton & The Assassination of Barack Obama, both at NY galleries) were censored in March and unfortunately, never re-opened to the public. Over the past several weeks, I have been exploring other options to show the pieces. I am hopeful that very soon I will have secured a new space to show at least part of each exhibit. I also intend to throw a big party to celebrate overcoming this absurd censorship. Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement…and for blogging about this situation and encouraging others to do so as well.
I’ll be travelling for the next two weeks – I’ll be spending about a week in Europe and another week in Asia. I’m going to Europe to meet with gallerists and with influential art collectors who are interested in showing my work. I’m going to Asia for inspiration and a brief holiday from the past few crazy months.
As always, you can keep up to date with what's going on with me by visiting my blog: www.theassassinationofart.com . Also, if you have not seen it yet, make sure to check out the latest coverage of the exhibits, including a feature on the cover of the Miami Herald , or a segment that ran on the main news broadcast of the Univision channel.
Thanks to everyone who has sent messages of support or visited the blog over the past six or so months -- totally appreciate all the encouragement. I’ll be blogging from my trip and posting photos and maybe even some videos…so stay tuned!
Talk soon and thanks again for everything,
I am getting on a plane tomorrow to catch some fresh thoughts away from New York. Watch this space for updates from abroad.
